So on Friday the youth at the church and some of the parents went to the church for our Christmas party! Some of the kids are doing a play next Friday, (I'm 'Older Mary' and I have to wear a really awful wig - a white curly Afro =O) so we were building and painting the set. And we're going caroling after the play!! We had pizza to eat and lots of awesome desserts! For instance, we brought peanut butter fudge (=O), Aiden brought chocolate-dipped pretzels and marshmallows (YUMMM!), and I think it was Carrington who brought yummy cookies! When we built the set we had some old crates that we used for a stable and manger, and we used cardboard boxes and painted a window on! The girls, Aiden, me, Carrington, Ruth, Cora, and Bethany (She doesn't go to the church, but we loved having her there) all painted the window, and I think we did a pretty good job! You can't really see it in the first picture, but we made shutters to look like wood, and Carrington did that part, and it really looks like WOOD!! Great job Carri! Then after we had finished the window and everything, we opened gag gifts! There were a lot of funny things! Ruth got a little Cupid statue thing, Carrington got pacifiers (:D), Aiden got Dora the Explorer toothpaste and toothbrush, Cora got a pink and purple advent calendar, Bethany got cat toys, I got a chocolate bar and a paddle-with-a-ball-attached thingy, Caleb got a barrel of monkeys, and Jacob got a phone!
